When circumstances spiral out of control, her brother must grapple with the devastating consequences. Ancient Inspiration, Modern Execution
Inspired by the Indian epic Mahabharata, Sutradhar reimagines its timeless themes for today’s diverse audiences. It borrows from the traditions of the Natyashastra, the aesthetic rigor of Greek classics, and the minimalistic elegance of Japanese Noh theatre. The play seamlessly integrates theatre, music, and dance to create a multi-sensory narrative that resonates across cultures and generations.
The title, which translates to “The One Who Holds the Strings,” serves as a metaphor for the intricate interplay of power and influence.
